Outreach Initiatives

Concordia Gospel Outreach General Fund

With every donation received, Concordia Gospel Outreach is able to equip another missionary, mission organization, or individual with Bible-based literature and educational materials to further advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.

Donations made to the Concordia Gospel Outreach General Fund support general mission and ministry resource needs. They also provide Concordia Gospel Outreach with the flexibility to respond quickly to urgent ministry support needs both here in the United States and abroad.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6 ESV ®

Children’s Outreach

“And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.’” Acts 2:38–39 ESV®

Part of Concordia Gospel Outreach’s mission is that everyone—including all children—experience the love of Jesus Christ. That’s why the Children’s Outreach Initiative strives to provide all of God’s children with a book of their very own and opportunities to learn of Jesus’ love through Vacation Bible School and Sunday School programs.

Through your donations, Vacation Bible School materials, children’s books, and Sunday School and educational curriculum are sent around the world to help those in the mission field teach children about the love of Jesus.

“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.”
Ephesians 6:10 ESV ®

Disaster Recovery Project

Through the Disaster Recovery Project, Concordia Gospel Outreach is working to bring spiritual hope to people impacted by devastating events. Because whatever the disaster—flooding or fire, tornado or tsunami—people need to feel secure in body and spirit. Your donations allow Concordia Gospel Outreach to equip teams and individuals to bring God’s Word to those in need of spiritual strength.

In addition to providing materials to meet specific and immediate spiritual needs, the Disaster Recovery Project works with churches in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod to replace CPH materials—including hymnals, pew Bibles, Sunday School materials, and more—lost or destroyed by natural disasters.

“And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.”
Mark 13:10 ESV ®

Hispanic Outreach

Concordia Gospel Outreach has a goal of reaching 10,000 Hispanic children with the Gospel message in 2013. With your support, we can reach that goal!

Hispanic ministry is a rapidly growing mission area for the Lutheran church.  The Hispanic community in the United States is growing four times faster than the rest of the population. Experts predict that by the year 2040, one in every four Americans will be of Hispanic origin.

Today, there are a growing number of Lutheran pastors and missionaries planting churches in Hispanic communities across the United States and throughout the world. As these ministries grow and take shape, the need for materials continues to grow as well. However, funding is scarce.

Through the Hispanic Outreach Initiative, Concordia Gospel Outreach is able to provide relevant ministry materials to support outreach efforts in the Hispanic community.  Materials provided for Spanish language outreach programs include Sunday School curriculum, VBS materials, and Portales de Oración.
